4.0 out of 5 stars
Just as Queen Elizabeth II was the only monarch to reign in Britain for the entire lifetime of a large percentage of people, prior to her death, Charles was Prince of Wales, always “there” and yet, as this book points out in nice style, do we know and understand the key aspects of the man who is now King.
An environmentalist before many knew the word, a talented painter and athlete, Charles III has spent decades working for his country. Wanting to care for our environment, with the same passion he put in to The Prince’s Trust, a charity making a difference in the lives of young people.
This book is about highlighting the positive, and bringing to light the work done by someone with a job that can be hard to understand… and in some respects the job is what the person doing it makes it.
This was written around the time of the Coronation, in some small ways that makes the material feel dated, but it is minor.
A passing reference is made to Charles receiving education abroad, I found that interesting, and not something mentioned “in every book” so I do wish a little more detail had been included.
