Roan has been a secondary character in several books, but here he moves center stage and we learn more about the guarded shifter who was rescued from a lab where unthinkable experiments were conducted on him.

Tabitha thought she understood what had happened, it was painfully clear — Roan walked out on her, ran away, and never looked back. But what happens when you discover the one you never got over wanted to look back? Might have even tried to look back? But his life got more complicated than your wounded heart dreamed?

This done in one Kindle unlimited book is a great story about forgiveness, finding a way forward, and most of all struggling to figure out how to deal with trauma. Corbin has some really interesting scenes, he\’s at that age where he\’s still a kid, but wants to be an adult, the result is insight and wisdom blended with a child\’s understanding of the world and the pain it can dish out.
