Edith is bonding with a new familiar, and things could be going better. But maybe more of the issues are on her side, and less on the animals than she first hoped.
This done in one story features two characters with wounded hearts protecting themselves the best way they can, dealing with letting others in – animal and human, and focuses on the rewards of taking a chance, lowering our guard, and truly letting someone else in.
