Tech Genius goes toe to toe with Interrogation Guru and loses his heart in the process
I’ll confess I was looking forward to Noah and Captain Dragon’s (aka Laura) story. I met them in Roth and there was just something there, in their interactions, that had me thinking they deserved their moment to shine, or perhaps spark might be more accurate. This Hell Squad book did not disappoint, though the major players in the story are not the Squads, but the folks back on base who are interrogating prisoners, getting information, and keeping the base, and housing functional for everyone — as well as prepping for evacuation when the need arises, keeping equipment functional, and generally feeling all the same stress of the war even though they are not out on the front lines.
I was given a review copy in exchange for an honest review, though mostly for me that was just the equivalent of going to the midnight showing Thursday because I couldn’t wait until Friday to start reading it on Kindle Unlimited.
