Sam is the local Cyborg judge on Mars… he pronounces judgement, he is the one disputes are brought to… and the humans can’t help but feel he is judging them in general.

Addie is a scientist doing what she must to build her future. She’s made hard choices in the past, sacrifices that haunt her, but she’s determined this time she’s going to do what she must to break free from the man who has gained too much control of her life.

This done in one story alludes to the characters in the previous books, and hints at character’s in an upcoming one, but is primarily a stand alone story, moving forward the ongoing arc of a corporation, GenCon, getting its hooks in to Mars early, laying the foundations for their future empire on a new planet.
